Premier Pitches is based on the southern outskirts of Sheffield between junction 29 and junction 30 of the M1. The company was started in 1997 by the then Managing Director, Carl Pass, and Premier Pitches has grown steadily to its current position as one of the UK and Europe’s leading sports turf contractors.
Alongside standard pitch reconstruction and renovation, we specialise in the renovation and construction of reinforced sports pitches and have an extensive range of modern machinery and equipment associated with the management of these pitches.
Our key personnel are highly experienced, and all come from a grounds-management or green keeping background and as such we are well informed and able to understand the needs of modern sports turf managers.
We pride ourselves on our quality, efficiency and flexibility. Attributes which have led to Premier Pitches being awarded Contractor of the Year by the Institute of Groundsmanship on multiple occasions.

We have built a reputation for being at the forefront of both technology and the techniques for pitch renovation. In the early days, our unrivalled experience in working with Fibresand has enabled us to lead the way in developing the machinery and techniques for fast and efficient installation and renovation of these types of pitches.
As stitched hybrid pitches became more popular, we helped to develop a completely new system for renovating hybrid pitches, alongside Campey Turfcare and Imants. This has set the benchmark in the results that can be achieved in renovating these pitches and our process is the most effective and efficient currently available.
Our reputation has been built on our ability to provide a superior package at a competitive price that is suited to the individual customer. We continue to offer best value to our customers by constantly upgrading our fleet of industry leading machinery and equipment, employing experienced and knowledgeable staff from all corners of the sports turf industry and adapting our approach to create better efficiencies and results for our clients
